Hi everyone!

I hope you have been finding some time to relax and create!

I’m a little excited to share this card with you.  My sons birthday was coming up and he was getting a remote controlled BB-8 for his birthday, so I had an idea to create a BB-8 card.  But when I saw the amazing galaxy background demonstrated by Alisa Tilsner on her Facebook page – I knew exactly what I wanted to do! She has also made a blog post on how to recreate it yourself – here – so have a go. It’s lots of fun!

I have been playing HEAPS with the sliding star framelits! My youngest card maker extraordinaire is too! They really are so much fun.  I will be showcasing them in my next few projects.  I knew they would be perfect to make my mini BB-8 flying around in space!

BB-8, Galaxy background, stampin Up, my paper oasis, star wars, sliding star framelits

It’s safe to say that my son absolutely LOVED his birthday card this year.  I used reinkers instead of my stamp pads.  I find it easier to control the colour if I apply a drop of colour onto a clear block and mix from there. You definitely need the watercolour paper for this project too. A variety of circle punches and BB-8 was built 🙂

I hope you will give the background a try. Let me know how you go. You can even post your projects in the comments! I would love to see them!
