Colour INKspiration 41

Welcome to Colour INKspiration 41.

Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month the Colour INKspiration crew create projects with a given colour palette.  You can join in the fun too, by creating your own work of art and uploading the image to our Facebook Page HERE.

This week we are using our Regals Collection to inspire you all.

Choose any three colours from this collection plus any basics for your project.

My project for this week was based on Bronwyn Eastley’s Share What you Love Pocket Card Tutorial but I used the Wonderful Moments Stamp Set.

Colour INKspiration 41 Wonderful Moments Pocket Card by Mel at My Paper Oasis

This card is a great fold and simple to make. Its a bit hard to see but I have used the Tufted Embossing Folder to create a pretty embossed background behind the bride.

I used Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Smokey Slate for my cardstock, and a touch of Crushed Curry from the special release Watercolour Pencils available last month for the brides hair.

I love how this turned out. So much so, we made this very card at class this week!

I hope you liked my project.  If you would like to learn how to create this card fold then pop on over to Bronwyn’s Tutorial store HERE.

Now it’s time to hop on over to the lovely Tanya Bell and see what she has created for you all.

CTC 122 – Falling in Love with So Detailed Thinlets!

Hi everyone and welcome back to another CASEIng the Catty Challenge.  This week is CTC 122 where we are focusing on the Falling in Love section of the Occasions Catalogue from pages 50 – 54.

There’s only a few pages to this section, but boy are there some lovely projects to CASE. I focused on this one ….

The pretty cluster of flowers caught my attention, set off with the gold leaf and the die.  I actually hadn’t paid a whole heap of attention to the stamp set until I saw those flowers – now I need it – but you all know how that goes! Lol.  I also didn’t want to make a card – but the idea of a scrapbook layout hit me (it doesn’t happen often – so when it does I make sure I act on it!)

So here is what I designed …

CTC 122 Falling in Love with So Detailed Thinlets by My Paper Oasis, Stampin' Up!, scrapbook page

I used the flower from the Butterfly Basics stamp sets and just fussy cut a ‘few’ out to create the flower bunch.  I stamped them in Sahara Sand and the sponged them lightly with Blushing Bride ink.  I used the stunning Flower Die in the So Detailed Thinlets Dies instead of the heart one in the image. All teamed with the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper and a special touch of gold! I love the way it turned out – but my goodness – that photo makes me feel old! It seems like a lifetime ago!

Don’t forget to hop around and see everyone else’s creations for some extra inspiration, and then join in the fun by uploading your own project to the album CTC 122 on the Facebook Page right HERE!

Now it’s time to hop on over to the lovely Elizabeth Gross to see what she has created today!

Happy Crafting everyone!

CTC #115 – Delicate Details Wedding Card

It’s Sunday night, so that means it’s time for another CASEing the Catty Blog Hop!

Have you been joining in the fun on our new Facebook Group.  Its as simple as uploading your project to the correct album on the Group! You may have come from the lovely Julia Quinn tonight, or be starting right here! Take a look around and see what has inspired us this week!

Our challenge for this week is to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) anything we like from pages 8 – 11 of the Saleabration Catalogue! Remember – you don’t need the particular stamp set – you could be inspired by the colours, layout, backgrounds, absolutely anything on the projects!

This week I thought it was time to pull out my Delicate Details Stamp Set.  It hadn’t seen ink yet, which is a shame, because it’s a lovely set.  I took inspiration from the card on the left on Page 9 of the Saleabration Catalogue…

I really wanted to ink up those layers just like that card.  It’s quite easy to do – just line up all your stamps and place your block on top to attach them, and stamp in one image.

I wanted to try this background with gold heat embossing….so thats what I did!

That gold really pops off the card and it looks so elegant!

And the best bit – this stamp set is totally FREE and yours to choose when you spend $90 during Saleabration!  Who doesn’t love a freebie!

Now its time to continue to the wonderful Judy May to see what she has in store for you! Just click the image below.

Your Perfect Day with Something Borrowed!

I made this gorgeous card for my amazing grandparents who celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary today.
What an amazing achievement!!!
Such an achievement deserves an equally amazing card, don’t you think?!
This card was CASEd and changed slightly from Angela Lorenz, who was more than happy to share with me.  You can see her amazing work over on her blog here.
I have used the Something Borrowed Designer Paper and embellishments from the Occasions Catalogue as well as some stamps from Your Perfect Day and Big News.
I made a matching envelope using the Envelope Punch Board to.
I love that all our paper and extras match, so designing something like this is easy peasy.
Gold heat embossing on the sentiment and envelope as well as some brushed gold card stock as a mat really makes everything sing.
I would love to hear your feedback, so please leave me a comment 🙂
Happy Crafting everyone!!

Gold Wedding Card from Big News

I had a request recently to create a wedding card.

I really love the ‘Happily Ever After’ stamp from the Big News stamp set – so my challenge was to use it for this wedding card.
I am really pleased with how it turned out and I am LOVING all that GOLD! Our gold embossing powder is so fine and is a gorgeous gold!
