Snow Way- it’s time for a Holiday Catalogue Hop already!

I am so excited. It’s time for our FIRST EVER Pennsationals Team Blog Hop. And what better way to kick off our regular hops, than with products from our gorgeous new Holiday Catalogue.  It goes live for you all on Tuesday, so the LONG wait is over….get your orders ready…and hopefully you will find some fabulous inspiration along the way in our hop to add to your ‘I NEED’ lists!

You may have arrived from the talented Tracy Penn or be starting here. Which ever the case, I hope you enjoy hopping around and seeing what we have created to inspire you all!

It was so very difficult to control myself with this new catalogue! I love just about EVERYTHING in it. I think it is one of the best Catalogues we have ever had!  But, I did have to make a decision, so I knew the first things on my list was that beautiful, traditional Home for Christmas Designer Paper. It has so much potential. And when combined with our Hearth and Home Framelits – it really comes into it’s own.

I have been quite excited about these cards, but I haven’t been able to show anyone for weeks.  As soon as I got my parcel of goodies, I was inspired and made them….but then I have had to wait SSSOOOOOO LONG to show them off to you all!

Anyway, here it is. Those santa’s are too cute, and the window framelit makes for such an easy christmas card that draws the focal point to one small area. So thats all you really need to decorate and embellish – a little area 3′ x 2 3/8″ – you can easily manage that and get a whole stack done! Which is exactly what I did……

I used this card for our team swap card. I didn’t limit myself to just one style Santa.  I used them all. They make for such an adorable card.  I am already well and truly in love with our corded trim in silver and gold –  and I highly recommend the new fine tip glue pen. It made creating those christmas banners at the top of the window super simple. Such precision in that tip! And the New Sleigh Ride Edgelits make the perfect backdrop for the scene.

Once I had created one style of this card, I had to see what else I could come up with using that same paper. So I made a typical christmas window scene. LOVE IT! And Yes – I did hand cut those individual presents under the tree – but I do like a bit of fussy cutting! It’s a bit hard to see – but gold glitter on the candle lights really sets this off too.

I had also ordered the Delicate Ornaments Thinlets, so had to have a play with those too.  I created this little gift box as a Name Place for the Christmas Table. You can fill it with some special christmas goodies. I placed an ornament on both sides of a Baker’s Box (I used one from the All Boxed Up kit) so you can see straight through when its empty – that way you can even put something like an electric candle inside – could you imagine those around the Christmas table at each place setting. It really does look stunning with the new red foil sheets.
Now these dies do cut the outline as well as the intricate patterns – so I have backed it with a window sheet inside the box and adhered the ornament to it.  I closed it of with the Gold Cord Trim, so they can get into it without ruining the box!

So here’s a picture of the whole lot together. What do you think?  Inspired to get ready for Christmas yet?

Thanks for stopping by.  Feel free to leave some Blog Love in the comments below before hopping over to the wonderful Jessica Williams at ThePaperCaper who I know will have something gorgeous for you all.  There is a list at the end of this post in case you get lost along the way 🙂

Twinchie swap

I am soon very happy! I have FINALLY gotten around to doing something with my twinchie swaps from convention…..well some of them anyway!
You may remember that these were the enormous amount of swaps we received….the were over 40 in all and it was a little bit of mayhem at the restaurant trying to swap them all and remembering who exactly you had swapped with!
Here they all are –
We’re a very creative bunch aren’t we – if you remember from a previous post, our challenge was a 2 inch ‘inche’ – which we aptly named a ‘twinchie’ in the Brights Colour Collection, with a party theme!
Some of my favourites have now ended up looking gorgeous in this frame –
I’m very happy with how it has turned out!
I would love to see any inchie creations you have made!
Happy Crafting!

Stampin Up Twinchie Convention Swaps

I am part of an absolutely AMAZING Stampin’ Up! Team called the Eureka stampers.  I have never seen such support and friendship develop so quickly before.  We are a fabulous team to be a part of.

At convention we have a team dinner and do a team swap.  This years theme was doing a twinchie. Whats a twinchie I hear you ask  …
Good question! A twinchie is a two inch square decorated that you can then pool together in a frame or on a card front, etc…. Traditionally and inchie – our team made a twinchie 😉  Our theme was the bright colour range and a party theme.
Here’s what I came up with….

And a close up…

I had so much fun making these…. 40 white card bases; 40 embossed Bermuda Bay squares; 80 starbursts in Bermuda Bay and Tangerine Tango (those colours go amazing together) and a glass from  the Happy Hour Stamp Set inked in Daffodil Delight, filled with crystal effects and sprinkled with dazzling diamonds whilst still wet.  The effect is hard to see here, but they looked brilliant!
I will be revealing the team twinchies when I return, so make sure you sign up to follow my blog by email, or on bloglovin 🙂
I would love to know your thoughts, so please leave a comment too!
