CTC 128 – Favourite Kit

Hi everyone.  I seemed to have been MIA the past couple of weeks as I prepared for the Picture to Page show in Pakenham.  But I am back this week for another awesome CTC Challenge!  This week we get to CASE our Favourite Kit from any Catalogue!

I do have a couple of favourite kits in the catalogue – especially the Watercolour Wishes Card Kit. But for todays hop – I decided to try something a little different.  I have always liked the Perfectly Wrapped Kit on page 159 in the current Annual Catalogue, but it was one of those kits I never actually got around to purchasing!

I thought it was such a bright fun kit, and just a bit different to our usual kits with all its fun packaging.  I had so much fun creating for this challenge!  I had never thought to CASE a kit before!

So today, being Mother’s Day in Australia, I thought all that cute packaging may just come in handy for some lovely little gifts!

I used the Grateful Bunch stamp set and Blossom Bunch Punch to base my mini kit around.  I am just a bit sad this set is retiring! I loved the lace and the triple flowers that you could layer together were so quick and easily … not to mention that is my most favourite butterfly …. sob…

Anyway – here is what I came up with!

CTC 128 Favourite Kit Projects by Mel Pagano at My Paper Oasis using Stampin' Up! Grateful Bunch and Blooms and Bliss DSP

I created the gift bag by using our Kraft Tag a Bags (also retiring).  I simply stamped the bag, folded the base and adhered the corners underneath to create an open bag.

The Clear Tiny Treat Box was simply decorated with some hand stamped Whisper White card, scored and folded for inside the box, with a belly band wrapped around and a cluster of flowers popped on the top.

And instead of creating the cello bags – I CASEd the design and turned it into a card to suit the occasion!

The sentiments from this suite really do go well with the Mother’s Day theme.  I hope that where ever you are today, and whom ever you consider your ‘babies’, that you are having an amazing day! Every woman is fabulous and deserves to be treated special xx

Don’t forget – you can play along too by simply adding your photo to the CTC 128 album on our Facebook page HERE.

Now its time to pop around to see what the rest of the crew have created for you.

Next on the hop is the amazing Julia Quinn!

Happy Stamping!!!

Mini Desk Calendar with Lift Me Up Bundle

Hi everyone,

I had lots of fun this week sharing on my Facebook Live video how to make these handy little desktop calendars, that are quick and easy to create!  I used the Lift me Up bundle to decorate them, combined with the stitched shape framelits (don’t you love how those framelits really add pop to your images and backgrounds!)

These are so handy to keep on your desk or by a phone for a quick reference for dates.  I managed to pick up some of these little calendars at a local Papercraft Show, but they can usually be found online if you are looking for some.

And you can get the gorgeous Carried Away Designer Series Paper (DSP) for FREE when you spend $90! That’s as easy as purchasing the Lift Me Up Bundle in clear mount and a pack of Night of Navy Cardstock! You can shop securely anytime in my online store HERE from ANYWHERE in Australia!

Below is the list and measurements of what you need to make your very own calendars and go to My Paper Oasis Youtube channel to see how to create it 🙂

What you need –

Base – Night of Navy Cardstock: a piece 8″ x 4″ and scored at 4″ and 6″ on long side; a piece 4″ x 3 3/4″ for top section; a piece 3 1/8″ x 2″ for under the calendar itself.

DSP (Carried Away) – a piece 3 7/8″ x 3 5/8″ for top section and a piece 3 7/8″ x 2 3/8″ for under calendar.

Santa’s Sleigh – literally! For #GDP059

I know – it’s the Santa’s Sleigh bundle, so how can you NOT do a Santa’s Sleigh!

I have wanted to create this every since seeing this bundle, but knowing I was having a Santa’s Sleigh class I kept it for now!  And I am really happy with the way it turned out! It makes such a lovely table centrepiece or Christmas Decoration.

And do you know what! Since the Global Design Project #059 is showcasing animals this week – I thought I may as well enter it there too!

Santa's sleigh for #GDP059 by My Paper Oasis, stampin up Santa's sleigh bundle; Christmas fun

It’s a bit fiddly, but not too tricky to make.  And my little santa sack has been recycled from our SU paper packaging! It was perfect cut from the Mini treat bag thinlets! Hope you like it as much as I do!

This set is truly so much fun, so why not have a play! And pop over to the GDP to see all the other amazing projects!

Perpetual Calendar Class

A couple of weeks ago I ran a Perpetual Calendar Class for anyone who was interested in creating one.

The perpetual birthday calendar kit can be found on page 17 of the new occasions catalogue. It’s got loads of items included to complete your calendar, but it works best when you coordinate it with the matching stamp set – Perpetual Birthday Calendar. All the little stamped images are going to be very versatile for PL and adding a little extra to cards.
I decided to ‘add’ some extras for our class and used things like the owl punch and various other stamp sets to complete the calendar.
The ladies that came along loved the class.
Here is an overview of what we created! Hope you enjoy 🙂
