CTC 149 – Year of Cheer Mini Pizza Box Gift Cards

It’s Sunday night – so that means it’s time for another CASEing the Catty Challenge, where every week the design team uses images from the current catalogues to Copy and Share with you to help spur your creativity! You may have popped over from Judy or be starting right here, but make sure to take the full tour and see everyones creations!

Challenge 149 is all about the Year of Cheer Section of the Holiday catalogue on Pages 36-47.

The Year of Cheer section has so many sparkly projects to choose from as well as those cute as Mini Pizza Boxes.

So I took inspiration from the Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper and the Mini Pizza Boxes to create Year of Cheer Mini Pizza Box Gift Cards.

I love the elegance of the Year of Cheer DSP and the gorgeous co-ordinating embellishments.  They make it very simple to create stunning cards for special occasions.

I teamed mine with Fresh Fig cardstock and some Gold and Silver heat embossing to compliment the foil on the papers.  The gift cards are 3″ x 3″ and I have cut the DSP to 2 3/4″ to allow enough of an ‘edge’ to peek through of the base card.  I folded the Gold Foil Snowflake concertina style and adhered the centre to the gift card, so it really ‘pops up’.  The best part is – you can either gift the box and the cards, or use the cards and then pop a gift in the Mini Pizza Box for someone.

We will be making this gorgeous set at a card class at the end of November.  These papers aren’t part of our current Designer Series Paper Sale where you can Buy 3 get 1 FREE – but you could certainly use the ones that are to create your own version!

I hope you like my project.  Now its time to hop on over to Monique and see what she has created for you all.

Don’t forget to create your own and pop on over to the Facebook Challenge page and upload your creation!

CTC 146 – Season of Glitz using Painted Harvest

A big hello to everyone.  Thank you for joining the CASEing the Catty Crew for Challenge Number 146.

This week we are focusing on the Season of Glitz Section in the holiday catalogue on pages 20 -27 of the new Holiday Catalogue.

This week I have decided to show you how to CASE (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit) Season of Glitz to create Painted Harvest Mini Pizza Box Gift Cards.

I had held out for ages before getting this set…as in, it just arrived this week!  But i could resist no more after seeing so many beautiful projects created with it.

I’m pretty time poor this weekend, so I took inspiration from the card on page 27 of the catalogue –

They looked cute, quick and catchy.  When I pondered what set to use to base my design around, I knew I had to use the Painted Harvest stamp set!

The flower would make the perfect circle for the centre, and I really wanted to try out the new Mini Pizza Boxes – so I decided to create a little box of gift cards.

CTC 146 Mini Pizza Box Gift Cards using Painted Harvest by Stampin Up

I couldn’t put the sentiment in the middle without obscuring the flower, so I stamped it on vellum and adhered to the bottom of the gift card.  I then just popped my ribbon off to the side of the sentiment.  My bling came by using the Wink of Stellar Glitter Brush, which is pretty difficult to see in pictures, but trust me – it’s there!

The colours for this set use Wisteria Wonder and Fresh Fig.  The best part about the two step stamping for this set – there is no lining up! Yes thats right – no lining up required!  I didn’t have the coordinating DSP to help decorate the Mini Pizza Box, so I created my own using the little acorns in the set!  I fell in love with them. They are so adorable and took my back to the time I used to play on the oval at school and collet acorns and pop their little hats off!

Another great bonus using the mini pizza boxes – we now have 3″x3″ envelopes so making gift cards is super simple!  And the boxes are food safe! So many things to love!!!!

I loved them so much in fact I created another colour sample –

This colour combination was Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral.  It’s stunning!

And the whole suite of what I created today.

I love how they turned out.  So much so that my customers who place an order in September will be receiving one of these as a special thank you!

I hope you love them as much as I do!

Don’t forget to take the whole hop, and then pop on over to our Facebook page and upload your lovely creation by next Sunday night too!

Now it’s time to hop on over to the lovely Rebecca Scurr to see what she has created for you all.

CTC 143 Pocket Full Of Sunshine Gift Card

Hi everyone and welcome to CASEing the Catty Challenge 143.  This week we are taking inspiration for the Artistic Expression Section of the Annual Catalogue on Pages 132 -181.

CTC 143

So take the hop all the way around, be inspired, flick through the pages in the catalogue, create your own CASE (Copy and Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit) and then upload your own creation directly to our Facebook Page HERE. You have until next Sunday night to complete the challenge!

I had to create a birthday card this week for my son’s friend. I knew which stamp set I wanted to use, so I looked for some inspiration in what type of layout.

I chose to CASE the Flamingo design on Page 164 to create my Pocketful of Sunshine Gift Card.

I thought the layout would work really well, and I was wondering what to do on the background of my card to jazz it up a bit, so this card inspired me to use my recently purchased Marbled stamp set.

Here’s what I created…

CTC 134 Pocketful of Sunshine Gift Card by My Paper Oasis.

I am really liking this set, and the fact that a gift card fits perfectly inside the little pocket.  It really makes it super simple to make a quick card for the recipient!  I added the notes behind the gift card, so the pocket still has something in it once he uses his gift card.  I loved how quickly this card came together by simply taking a flick through the catalogue to get inspired, but still looks very different to the original!

I hope you enjoyed my creation this week.  Now it’s time to hop on over to Monique’s Blog and see what she has created this week!

HAPPY CRAFTING!

CTC 124 – Hostess Sets Love You Lots!

Hi everyone!

Happy Easter (I hope it’s been lovely for you) and welcome to this weeks CASEing the Catty Challenge -CTC 124! You may be starting here, or arrived from Kathryn’s page – but make sure you keep hopping around to see all the amazing inspiration provided!

This week we get to CASE any of the hostess sets from any of the catalogues!

For me that meant I was going to CASE a project using the Love You Lots Stamp Set.  My most favourite Hostess Set Ever!  What’s not to love about all those cute critters.  I will be sad to see this one retire at the end of May, but I will be hanging on to my set for future use!

I decided to focus on the card on the right from the image below …

A simple, quick notecard that could be created using any set really.  I began by CASEing the card directly, but substituting colours and ribbon for wash tape, and of course using Love You Lots!

Love You Lots Hostess Set for CTC 124 by My paper Oasis, Stampin Up, Sunshine Wishes

I know that ribbon has retired recently from Saleabration, but it just set the card off nicely with a bit of silver bling!

Then I moved on to a similar card, utilising one of the other Sunshine Wishes Framelits, but still those cute bugs …

Christmas or Birthday Money Pouch Gift Pocket

A very Merry Christmas to you all!

Christmas is all about giving, and one thing I find a lot of us give is the gift of cash or gift cards. I found myself in the situation yesterday where I needed to give a gift of cash, so I wanted to create something a little more special to give it in. So today I wanted to share with you all how easy it is to create a fancy gift pouch that you can whip up in minutes to give someone a gift of cash,  gift card or even movie vouchers.

So simple, so fast to create, but a gorgeous way to present your gift!  I even added a panel to write your message on the inside of the birthday one –

What do you think?

If you would like to make some of your own, here are the measurements –

Pouch – 7 3/4″ x 7 1/2″.  Score on long side at 2 1/4″ and 5″. Fold and burnish. Apply adhesive to each edge of small flap.

DSP for front and whisper white for inside top panel – 7 1/4″ x 2 1/2″.

DSP for front of bottom inner panel – 7 1/4″ x 2″.

Here is my Youtube ‘How To’ video over at My Paper Oasis.

Have you noticed some of our gorgeous new saleabration and Occasions catalogue goodies? I can’t wait to play with them all beginning the 4th of Jan!

I will take a short rest over Christmas, but will be back in full swing in the New Year.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Watercolour Wishes Card Kit

It seems I have been going mad for kit projects lately – and I HAVE!

I have kits super refreshing after such a busy year, to allow mw to create, without having to ‘think’ too much!

I took my Watercolour Wishes card kit away on a short trip with me as I knew i wouldn’t have to take anything else other than adhesive.  This kit truly has absolutely EVERYTHING you need to create 20 beautiful cards, in a number of different sizes.  It would be a great gift for the crafter who is just beginning or has very little supplies, as well as the experienced crafter.

The kit includes everything to decorate the 20 cards, including an exclusive stamp set, a mini clear block, two coordinating ink spots, dimensionals, embellishments, card bases and envelopes.  EVERYTHING! All packaged in a beautiful presentation box.

my paper oasis, watercolour wishes card kit, stampin up, watercolour cards, card kits, birthday cards, thank you cards, sympathy cards, easy card making

I have used sentiments specific to my needs – for my wonderful customers who place online orders through me – but the stamp set that comes with the kit has a great variety of sentiments – 10 in all!

There was also lots of embellishments left over – so I added more bling to my cards!

I HIGHLY recommend this kit. And remember – any $90 spent until March 31st will earn you Saleabration Freebies!

Timeless Elegance Chest of cards

I have had the tutorial for this chest of cards for AGES and have never gotten around to making it.  But this year, seeing our Timeless Elegance Designer Paper, I knew I had to make it.
I’m definitely a vintage kind of girl – so this DSP is easily by far my favourite in the current catalogue.  How good does it look on this cute chest.  It makes the perfect gift for someone.

I made matching cards in the same colours, and matching envelopes for the gift cards with our neutrals envelope paper and envelope punch board.
You can purchase this tutorial for yourself from UK Demonstrator Jenny Moors at www.stampingmoments.blogspot.com for a mere £2.50.  Just look for the tutorial ‘Mocha Morning Card Chest’ in the right hand side bar 🙂 It really is worth it to create this gorgeous masterpiece. Oh, and make sure you get strong magnets! Sadly mine are not 🙁

Four Feathers Thank You Gift Card

I always like to add a little Thank You card ( and sometimes a surprise gift ) to the lovely ladies who place orders through me.

Often those thank you cards end up being quite floral because they’re just so….well….pretty!
So I was just a wee bit excited when some of my new goodies arrived this week and I got to play.
I used the Four Feathers stamp set and dies bundle that is still available in the Occasions Catalogue as a Returning Favorite to create these ‘not so girly’ Thank You Gift Cards.
These cards are using Lost Lagoon and Smokey Slate. I have added speckles from Gorgeous Grunge (one of my absolute go to sets!) and the background from the new Perpetual Birthday Calender Set.
Add a twist or two of the Painted petals cotton twine that has had the threads separated and you have created a gift card.

Lost Lagoon base 3 1/2″ squared.
Whisper White 3 1/4″ squared.
I hope you enjoy making some of your own 🙂
