Christmas or Birthday Money Pouch Gift Pocket

A very Merry Christmas to you all!

Christmas is all about giving, and one thing I find a lot of us give is the gift of cash or gift cards. I found myself in the situation yesterday where I needed to give a gift of cash, so I wanted to create something a little more special to give it in. So today I wanted to share with you all how easy it is to create a fancy gift pouch that you can whip up in minutes to give someone a gift of cash,  gift card or even movie vouchers.

So simple, so fast to create, but a gorgeous way to present your gift!  I even added a panel to write your message on the inside of the birthday one –

What do you think?

If you would like to make some of your own, here are the measurements –

Pouch – 7 3/4″ x 7 1/2″.  Score on long side at 2 1/4″ and 5″. Fold and burnish. Apply adhesive to each edge of small flap.

DSP for front and whisper white for inside top panel – 7 1/4″ x 2 1/2″.

DSP for front of bottom inner panel – 7 1/4″ x 2″.

Here is my Youtube ‘How To’ video over at My Paper Oasis.

Have you noticed some of our gorgeous new saleabration and Occasions catalogue goodies? I can’t wait to play with them all beginning the 4th of Jan!

I will take a short rest over Christmas, but will be back in full swing in the New Year.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Sampler Shadow Box

Hi Everyone!

I absolutely love how this project has turned out so I had to do another quick share with you this week!!!

I had a special weekend class where the attendees got to make this lovely 12″ x 12″ frame to assist their Christmas Decorating this year.  It was a huge hit!  The ladies even starting embellishing with ‘tinsel’ around the tree, we adhered bells to just about everything, and a load of fun was had! And now it’s hanging in pride of place in my house!

It was sooo hard to get a good picture without the glare! And believe it or not, the sentiment is embossed with the gorgeous new glitter embossing powder! It adds such a sparkle!

I have dressed it up a bit more now with our mini jingle bells and twine! Its a great way to display all those christmas products you have on hand….and if you don’t, why not get together with a friend a share your supplies. But you had better hurry to get your hands on the Candy Cane Lane DSP – as it’s on the Year End Clearout Sale!

Have fun creating!

Creating with paper scraps!

Hi everyone!

I hope the fast pace to Christmas isn’t too insane that you are not getting any craft time in!

Well if it is, let me help you create some super fast cards whilst clearing the craft room of scraps of DSP.  The best bit about these cards is that you can use any scraps you have lying around ( and generally I have LOADS) and team them with any shape you want!  I created some quick christmas cards to help me clean up my Presents and Pinecones scraps!

This one was super simple using the Santa’s Sleigh Framelits! Just between you and I – It has been one of my most favourite bundles this year!

Here’s another using the Embellished Ornaments framelits.

How cute are they!

And everything coordinates so easily when you let the designer paper dictate your card colours!

Take a look at my video over at My Paper Oasis to see how simple they are to create!

Here are the measurements to make your own –

Card Base – cherry cobbler, cut on short side at 4 1/8″

Card topper – Emerald Envy 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

Whisper White – 5 1/4″ x 3 1/2″

Scraps of DSP approximately 3″ long (or longer depending on framelit) by approximately 1/2″ to 3/4″ wide.

Twist and Pop Panel Cards – Wow for any occasion!

Hi everyone!

Well it’s definitely drawing closer to Christmas and the rush is definitely real!

Every year at Christmas, I like to have at least one ‘WOW’ card to give to special people – my nan in particular – she LOVES a special card and has requested that I make one for her daughter (my Aunty) this year.

Now I had seen quite a few of these Twist and Pop Cards for a while – they are currently very popular – so I set about finding a tutorial from someone who had made one.  I came across a few that used a full A4 piece cut and scored and inserted into the card.  But when you are trying to run a class, unless everyone remembers to bring their paper trimmers, its a little impractical and time consuming to have everyone take turns scoring and cutting  their cardstock.  I came across a tutorial from Sincerely Rina.  She made a card using 12″ cardstock.  The majority of my card is A4 size, so I altered my card to that so it could fit in a regular envelope for posting. I made one Christmas design and one birthday design, and my youtube clip is another birthday card design.

This first design was using our Blooms and Bliss DSP and Flourishing Phrases Bundle.

The Christmas design was using the Presents and Pinecones DSP and the Tin of Tags Stamp Set.

You can learn how to create your very own over at my You Tube Channel by clicking here.

Measurements are :

Card Base – A4 cardstock cut on short side at 4 1/8″ (4 1/8″ x 11 3/4″)

Card Panel – 3 1/2″ x 10″ scored at 2 1/2″, 5″, and 7 1/2″ and folded from the left – valley, mountain, valley (mountain fold needs to be in the middle)

Folding Mechanism – 3 1/2″ x 8″ scored on short side at 1 3/4″ and mark on long sides at 2 1/4″ and 5 3/4″

Card front base cardstock – 5 3/8″ x 3 5/8″

Card front DSP – 5 1/8″ x 3 3/8″

Insert squares Cardstock – 3 5/8″ x 3 1/2″

Insert Squares white 3 3/8″ x 3 1/4″
