Wow! I was so excited to be asked to be a Guest Designer for CASEing the catty blog hop!
Every Sunday night the crew shares lots of great ideas from the current catty! This week we are CASEing creations from the Birthday section of the catalogue. How lucky for me because I had some birthdays coming right up that I needed to create for!
One of those cards needed to be for my very own young man. He’s a bit of a card creator himself and does an amazing job, so it would need to impress him! And a 10 year birthday is a very special event! Double figures no less!!!!
So I had a poke through the catalogue and found the pattern on this card on page 19 really caught my eye.
I love the Sweet Stack stamp set, but I had never thought of using the pattern as a background this way. So I set about playing and came up with this…
Wouldn’t you know – I had also never noticed that our Sprinkles Punch matches the pattern perfectly, so I added some of the shapes to the background of the card to. I also didn’t want those numbers that I cut to go to waste, and seeing as we have another tenth birthday to go to in a couple of weeks, I created another one too. This time from page 13 of the catty.
I kept with the same colour scheme for this card to.
I hope you like them! Thanks for having me along!
