This card was very popular last night at class. Everybody loved it, which is funny, because I wasn’t so sure :-/
Gorgeous grunge was whipped out again to add a bit extra to this card. Stamped images of feathers in Blackberry bliss were spritzed with a bit of water while wet to create the blurred background. I then stamped on to vellum and used white embossing powder for the feathers.
Blîng it all up with a gold button, some sequins and my all time favourite linen thread and you’re done!
Simple and effective and can be used as a masculine as well as a feminine card….now to try it in grey and black tones!
And today is the last day of Saleabration – if you still have a wishlist, you still have time to click on my shop online button and place your order…Once they are gone, they’re gone for good!
We had some very popular items from Saleabration that are already sold out!
I would love to hear what your favourite product was this year!
One of my favourite things about stamps is that you don’t have to be an artist to create something artistic. Because trust me……I am definitely no artist!
I’ve seen lots of these little canvases around and was keen to make one of my very own. I’ve been very impressed with the versatility of the Butterfly Basics stamp set as you would have seen if you follow my blog. I thought it would be great to create this little project to….and I love that sentiment!
So here it is….it looks so much better in real life! (the picture is a little fuzzy).
I Finally got to have a play with my Bouquet Bigz L Die found in the occasions catalogue….and I was so impressed with the result! It makes flower making so darn easy! I really can’t wait to create some more of all the different sizes.
The paper used is the Best Year Ever DSP.
I used the Stampin’ Up! You tube clip to guide me in making this flower. My version was really very big and topped of the box I had made using the Gift Box Punch Board really nicely.
A quick tip when making gift boxes that use such a lovely big decoration on the top – turn the box so it can still be opened from the bottom, so your hard word isn’t destroyed in the opening of the box!
I love comments…so I would love to hear what you think – just leave a comment below the pic 🙂
More playing with vinyl today for my little sign at the market stall.
I was super happy with the writing, but felt it really needed something more behind it to ‘lift’ it a little…
Here was version 1! –
I wasn’t SUPER happy with the result. I liked it…it was OK…. but i wanted it to POP a bit more…
so i used some inspiration that I got from our team day with the Irresistibly Yours DSP and some colours…..
Here is Take 2! –
Now I liked this one more than the other. I loved the colour – but it was quite bright….so what to do???
You know how those thoughts just jump into your mind…. combine them I thought!
Now this version I LOVE!
Here is Take 3! – The Chosen One 😉
So whats your pic???? 1, 2 or 3….I would love to hear what you think, so pop a comment in below and let me know 🙂
I stepped out of my comfort zone today and made something a little different.
I have been wanting to try my hand at vinyl for a really long time, but never seemed to get around to it.
Well, I’m having a stall at a market on Friday night, so i thought I had better pull my finger out and have a play.
I am fairly happy with the results.
They are cute and will hold a few eggs from a hunt, or one of those large easter eggs.
I think I will have to branch out and play some more….wish me luck!
I made this gorgeous card for my amazing grandparents who celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary today.
What an amazing achievement!!!
Such an achievement deserves an equally amazing card, don’t you think?!
This card was CASEd and changed slightly from Angela Lorenz, who was more than happy to share with me. You can see her amazing work over on her blog here
I have used the Something Borrowed Designer Paper and embellishments from the Occasions Catalogue as well as some stamps from Your Perfect Day and Big News.
I made a matching envelope using the Envelope Punch Board to.
I love that all our paper and extras match, so designing something like this is easy peasy.
Gold heat embossing on the sentiment and envelope as well as some brushed gold card stock as a mat really makes everything sing.
I would love to hear your feedback, so please leave me a comment 🙂
Happy Crafting everyone!!
I had quite a bit of fun creating these funky cards using our Snapshot and Hi There stamp sets, as well as the On Film Framelits.
I was trying to create something that perhaps the younger generation could relate to – so I made them in ‘boy’ and ‘girl’ type colours. I was really pleased with how they turned out. I used Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush and Daffodil delight for the blue card, and Black, Real red and crushed curry for the red card. I used blenders to colour in the little camera…..its soooo cute!
I would love to hear what you think, so feel free to leave a comment or show me your creations 🙂
I had to share with you these amazing cards that I CASED. Unfortunately I’m not sure by whom as I took a screen shot of the card. If you know who, please leave a comment and give credit to the amazing creator! But how amazing are they!
Usîng the Butterfly Basics set, I just made a collage of the different stamps. I did use a sticky note for the parts in the middle as those flowers and leaves are quite long. The messy bit gets covered by the heart framelit. This is such a versatile set. And I have fallen in love with those Gold buttons – they match Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake card stock beautifully.
A couple of weeks ago I ran a Perpetual Calendar Class for anyone who was interested in creating one.
The perpetual birthday calendar kit can be found on page 17 of the new occasions catalogue. It’s got loads of items included to complete your calendar, but it works best when you coordinate it with the matching stamp set – Perpetual Birthday Calendar. All the little stamped images are going to be very versatile for PL and adding a little extra to cards.
I decided to ‘add’ some extras for our class and used things like the owl punch and various other stamp sets to complete the calendar.
The ladies that came along loved the class.
Here is an overview of what we created! Hope you enjoy 🙂
I needed something to put a gift card in for a birthday today, so had some fun creating this little one.
I have used the Mini Treat Bag Framelit – which I LOVE – and a couple of different stamp sets to complete the front.
The wonderful new ‘Celebrate Today’ set along with ‘In this Together’ and using colours Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Strawberry Slush to colour the Irresistably Yours Paper in the background. Top it off with a bit of bling from our Bermuda Bay sequin trim and you’re done!
I also used the Mini Treat Bag Framelits to hold gifts for my ladies attending class last week. They loved them!
